July 1st, Canada Day Distillery Show
On Canada Day, Roula, Meaghan and Mayada were performing at the ILAC 'White Party' in Toronto's historic Distillery District. Thanks for coming out and enjoying the show!

Ideas Change the World. The Idea City conference was a meeting of minds in Toronto where Roula shared some body-mind wisdom.

April 18-22, 2007 - 1st Canadian International Bellydance Conference:
Roula will be taking part in a panel discussion titled Mid-East Heritage: 'Going Pro in the West: the trials and tribulations of Bellydance artists of Middle Eastern heritage making the leap to become professional dancers despite the tremendous disapproval and opposition of family and community.' Roula will also be leading a Zylls (finger cymbals) workshop and will be a featured performer on the Main Stage at this historic event.

April 15, 2007 - RED Cabaret:
The RED Festival showcases diverse artforms including dance, theatre, puppetry, visual art, music, performance art, comedy and film. Roula will deliver a performance featuring both bellydance and spoken word at the RED Cabaret this Spring.
March 24-25, 2007 - Tonight in Cairo: Roula will be performing and hosting a two-day workshop at Saramaga Centre for Middle Eastern Dance in Winnipeg.

Come let us ply you with libations, delicious food and countless other pleasures for your eyes and your ears. Stay as little or as long as you like.
* Many performances throughout the afternoon - dance performances by students and teachers, live music surprises as well - not to be missed.
* A delicious food table - pot luck style with delectable offerings from students and staff.
* We'll have some wine and non-alcohlic drinks on hand but feel free to bring something along with you.
$10 suggested donation, $5 if you bring food for our table

The Roulettes are an original and innovative bellydance Troupe directed by dancer, musician, actor and choreographer,
Roula Said. The choreographies range from classical and elegant renditions of Oriental Dance
(as bellydance is referred to in the Arab world) to modern bellydance theatre filled with humour, intelligence and
